HEAT THERAPY IN KARLOVY VARY
PARAFFIN
In Karlovy Vary, paraffin is used in balneotherapy to improve tissue blood circulation, increase mobility, and relieve joint pain. The application of paraffin (at a temperature of 40-42°C) to the body has a favourable effect on paraffin diathermy - typically the spine or joints - which is pleasantly relaxing. The duration of the treatment is 20 minutes.
PARAFANGO WRAPS
Parafango is a special type of balneotherapeutic treatment that combines the healing properties of paraffin and peat mud. Paraffin is known for its ability to retain heat and transfer it to the skin and muscles. Mineral-rich mud has healing properties that help detoxify the body and alleviate muscle and joint pain. Parafango is typically applied in the form of wraps to various parts of the body. The heat and minerals from the parafango penetrate deep into the skin and muscles, helping to improve circulation, reduce pain and tension, and promote overall health and wellbeing.
INHALATION
Inhaling thermal water is another use of mineral water in Karlovy Vary. In this procedure, microscopic particles of mineral water are inhaled through the nose or mouth from a diffuser, opening up the upper and lower respiratory tracts and making breathing easier. Karlovy Vary thermal water is used for inhalation, which has anti-inflammatory and calming effects.
LIGHT BIOSTIMULATION
Biostimulation lamps work on the principle of using light of various wavelengths to stimulate cellular processes and promote healing and tissue regeneration. Infrared light is often used for its ability to penetrate deep into tissues, where it can help with nerve regeneration, pain and inflammation reduction, and improved blood circulation. Red light promotes healing and tissue regeneration, as well as collagen production. Blue light is often used for its antibacterial effects.
